There are many different CLASSIFICATIONs of bud type although the most commonly used terms in BONSAI>BONSAI>BONSAI refer to their location : Terminal bud (located at the tip of a stem), AXILlary ( located inside the axil of a leaf) and ADVENTITIOUS bud (occuring elsewhere on the branch or trunk).
