PRIVACY NOTICE OF THE SCOTTISH BONSAI ASSOCIATION
The Scottish Bonsai Association (we) collect no personal data from visitors to this site other than members of the Scottish Bonsai Association (SBA) who log in using their provided Username and Password.
This Privacy Notice explains how we will use any personal information we will collect about you as a member of the Scottish Bonsai Association (SBA), in order to comply with the General Data Protection Regulations of May 2018.
Who We Are
The committee of the SBA is the Data Controller for any personal data you give to us. Our contact details are email: firstname.lastname@example.org. If you have no internet access you can contact a Group Convenor.
What Personal Data Do We Collect?
As part of your SBA membership we may collect the following: Name, Address, Telephone Number (if given), email Address (if available) and the date you first joined for a historic record. We will also collect your eNewsletter preferences and your number of logins to the SBA website to assess the usefulness of the website to the SBA membership. We allocate to you a membership number.
We hold your information securely and will never sell or disclose your personal data to any third party.
How We Use the Personal Data We Collect
It is necessary for us to process your personal data to fulfil the contract of membership purchase. We will use your name and address to manage your membership, including renewals, and to post your membership card and any relevant mailings about legitimate interests. If you have given us your telephone number we may use it to contact you about the administration of your membership. Your telephone number is not required for membership of the SBA.
We will use your email address to contact you about the administration of your membership, to inform you of SBA events or other legitimate interests and to send you the SBA newsletter. If you have no internet access we will mail them to you.
How Long Will We Hold Your Personal Data?
Your personal data will be held for two years after you fail to renew your annual subscription. You have the right to see all your personal data that we hold, and to have some or all of it removed at any time by contacting email@example.com or a Group Convenor if you have no internet access. This may result in us no longer being able to contact you.
Who Has Access to Your Personal Data?
The personal data given to the Membership Secretary when joining is held on his Norton protected personal computer and is accessible only by him. Another database containing only your name, email address, Area Group and membership category (Ordinary, Senior, etc)and number of site visits is held on the webmaster's private secure server and is accessible to the Webmaster, the website Content Manager, President and Secretary. From this database the newsletter editor may use your email address to send you the newsletter and your group convenor may use your email address to send out group information. Other
