Bonsai Care

Small, tender, spreading, deciduous tree bearing lance-shaped, glossy green, pinnate leaves with dull, green undersides, brown/green flowers in late spring followed by oval, reddish fruits.

STYLE : Suitable for informal upright, root-over-rock or clump.

WARNING : Any wiring should be carried out at the end of the growing season as branches are brittle earlier.

Care Info

REPOT : Every 2 years, after flowers fade.

SOIL : Free draining soil : 40:60 grit:organic.

PRUNE : Anytime. Ensure sharp tool used as bark seperates from the wood easily.

PINCH : Trim to 1 pair of leaflets during growing season to maintain bushiness.

WATER : Keep soil moist - never dry, never waterlogged. Mist regularly.

FEED : Weekly balanced feed during growing season. Every 3-4 weeks in winter if temperature kept constantly above 20 degrees centigrade.
