		SPIDER MITE - Signs of infestation are patches of dry foliage, particularly on small-NEEDLEd CONIFERs. SoME fine web-like structures may also be seen, although the mites themselves are too small to be seen by the naked eye. By shaking the affected branch over a peice of white paper it may be possible to dislodge dead mites which appear as small black specs. The live mites cling tightly to the tree and so are best treated with a INSECTICIDE>SYSTEMIC INSECTICIDE spray.
