 Supported by grants from the Scottish Bonsai Association, area groups provide an opportunity for members to meet and develop the skills and techniques required to successfully grow, maintain and style their trees. Whether you are new to bonsai or are more experienced, by attending meetings you will gain from the shared knowledge and skills found within every group and have access to reference books and videos as well as a range of specialised bonsai tools. Regular workshops and demonstrations are also organised on a variety of topics delivered by SBA members themselves as well as experts from  across the UK and beyond.

Area groups also display their trees at the annual SBA National Exhibition as well as at local and national horticultural shows including Gardening Scotland, Ayr Flower Show and Glasgow Show.
